The Northwest Express, formed by Rob Tobias, brings together some great players to create a sound that blends swing blues, jazz, and soul folk and reggae. The group plays mostly Tobias orginals along with inspired covers of other Northwest songwriters and others. The songs can be described as roots music with positive lyrics and and an upbeat danceable feel.
The group has been playing locally at parties, clubs, special events and festivals including the The Willamette Valley Music Festival, Cozmic Pizza, The Jazz Station, Saturday Market, Art and the Vineyard, Holiday Market, and the Friendly Area Neighborhood Picnic.
